Storage capacity is often the deciding factor for businesses considering the Port of Lancaster. Following recent changes to our site layout, we’re expanding available quayside storage to create new, flexible, accessible space for our customers.

Sitting alongside shipping operations, this evolution of the Port will see the old shed at Glasson Dock replaced with additional open quayside storage. Over the coming weeks, demolition of the old shed will begin, with businesses planning shipments for spring and beyond being set to benefit from the additional capacity.

Having served its purpose for years, the facility can no longer house operations or the needs of modern shippers. But this isn’t just about removing an old building – it’s about maximising usable space in a location where every square metre counts.
